1. What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files stored on your device. Similar technologies include local storage, session storage, and pixels. We use them to run the site securely, remember preferences, and measure traffic with Google Analytics 4, Google Ads, and the Meta (Facebook) Pixel.
2. How we ask for consent
When you first visit, a cookie banner lets you acknowledge our use of measurement cookies. Google Analytics 4, Google Ads, and the Meta (Facebook) Pixel measure the visit immediately, including their cookies. Necessary cookies for security and login do not require consent under applicable EU rules.
You can change your choice anytime with
Cookie settings
(also linked in the site footer). Your preference is stored in your browser’s localStorage
under the key wmp_cookie_consent_v1.
3. Categories we use
Strictly necessary
Required for core functionality and security. These cannot be switched off from our banner.
| Name / type | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|
| PHP session cookie | Keep you signed in to the account area; protect authenticated requests | Session (ends when the browser session ends). If you choose Stay signed in, a separate cookie (wmp_acct_keep) lasts 30 days. |
wmp_cookie_consent_v1 (localStorage) |
Remember your analytics and advertising consent choice | Until cleared by you or after you reset preferences |
Analytics
Google Analytics 4 loads on each visit so we can understand traffic (e.g. popular pages, referrals, approximate geography, device type), including before you use the banner. Google Analytics 4 does not store your IP address.
| Name / type | Provider | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
_ga, _ga_* and related GA4 cookies |
Google Ireland / Google LLC | Distinguish visitors and sessions; measure usage | Up to 2 years (Google defaults; may vary) |
Google may process data in the United States or other countries. See Google’s Privacy Policy and Google Business Data Responsibility.
Meta Pixel
The Meta (Facebook) Pixel loads on each visit so we can measure ad delivery, retargeting, and conversions from Meta ads, including before you use the banner. This is not used to sell your data.
| Name / type | Provider | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
_fbp, _fbc and Meta Pixel storage |
Meta Platforms Ireland / Meta Platforms, Inc. | Measure ad delivery, retargeting, and conversions from Meta ads | Up to 90 days (Meta defaults; may vary) |
Meta may process data in the United States or other countries. See Meta’s Privacy Policy.
4. Events we measure
We may send events such as:
- page_view — standard GA4 page views
- live_demo_click — clicks on Live Demo links (GA4)
- conversion — a Live Demo sandbox was created (Google Ads). Meta receives a custom StartTrial at the same moment, once per browser session, from the browser and from our server (Conversions API), with one shared event id.
- nav_click — clicks on header and footer navigation links
- file_download — clicks on downloadable files (e.g. the plugin ZIP)
These help us understand which content and CTAs are useful. They are not used to sell your data.
5. Managing cookies in your browser
You can also delete or block cookies via your browser settings. Blocking strictly necessary cookies may prevent login or other features from working. Browser guides are typically available under Settings → Privacy / Cookies for Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Edge.
6. Updates
We may update this Cookie Policy when our tools or legal requirements change. The “Last updated” date at the top will be revised accordingly.
