Does it work without AI?+
Yes. The free library, inspector, folders, and filters never call an AI provider. Pro image tools and insights also run on your site. AI analysis, metadata, and rename need a BYOK API key you supply.
Will it move or delete my files?+
No. Folders are virtual. Destructive actions require preview and confirmation. Uninstall never removes WordPress media files in uploads.
What is included in the free version?+
The free version includes the media library, inspector, folders, filters, upload, and the WordPress media picker — no license key. Pro adds AI, cleanup insights, and advanced image tools.
What about staging sites?+
localhost, *.local, *.test, and common staging hosts do not consume license seats.
Which AI providers are supported?+
OpenAI, Google Gemini, Anthropic, OpenRouter, xAI (Grok), Mistral, and custom OpenAI-compatible endpoints — with your own keys.
Does WP Media Plus work with WooCommerce, WPML and page builders?+
Yes. It works with the standard WordPress media picker used by posts, pages, WooCommerce, and most plugins. Multilingual metadata works alongside WPML and similar setups. Some page builders use their own media browser, which this plugin cannot replace.
Can I safely rename or replace existing media files?+
Yes. Rename updates references across the site after you preview the change. Replace keeps the same attachment, so existing embeds continue to work. Nothing is renamed or replaced until you confirm.
What’s the difference between plans?+
Free has no key and core library features only. Paid Personal, Freelancer, and Agency all include the full Pro feature set — they differ by seats (1 / 10 / unlimited). Staging sites don’t consume seats.
Are my API keys sent to your servers?+
No. BYOK keys stay encrypted on your WordPress site and are never exposed to the browser. AI traffic goes only to the provider you configure.
What gets sent when I use AI?+
By default we strip EXIF and send reduced-size previews. Original full-resolution files stay on your server.
Can I generate ALT text in bulk?+
Yes. Bulk ALT runs with progress and a recap — nothing is applied silently without confirmation.
Does it support multilingual metadata?+
Yes. The Smart Inspector supports per-locale title, ALT, caption, and description fields so you can manage EN, IT, and more in one place.
Will renaming or replacing break my site?+
Safe rename updates references across the site after preview. Replace keeps the same attachment ID so existing embeds keep working.
How accurate is unused media detection?+
We scan posts, meta, and common builders for references. Results are candidates — you always preview before delete. No auto-deletion.
Does indexing slow down wp-admin?+
No. Indexing and analysis run as background jobs so the admin UI stays responsive while heavy work continues asynchronously.
What are the WordPress requirements?+
WordPress 6.4+ and PHP 8.1+. Open Media → WP Media Plus after install to activate your license and start using the library.
Do I get updates with my license?+
Yes. Each annual plan includes a year of plugin updates. Renew to keep receiving updates and seat verification.
What’s your refund policy?+
New annual subscriptions have a 14-day money-back window. Details are on the Refund Policy page. Renewals are generally non-refundable once processed.
